Top 7 Tiers of English Women's Football Pyramid - For 25/26, GCAFC First Team will play in Tier 5 and GCAFC Reserves will play in Tier 6 after double promotion

The FA (aka the English Football Association) was founded in 1863 making it the oldest football association in the world. Until August 2024, the FA oversaw all association football in England from grassroots to elite. The newly created Women's Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL) now fully controls the top two tiers of the women's league (Barclay's Women's Super League and Barclay's Women's Championship League). The FA continues to oversee Tier 3 and below in the Women's football pyramid. The FA pyramid shows 7 tiers, but in reality the county leagues cover Tiers 7 to 10.

Gloucester City AFC Women's First Team just won the Regen Arable South West Regional Division 1 North League (Tier 6), earning promotion to the South West Regional Football League (Tier 5). GCAFC First Team also won the Gloucestershire County Cup by beating Frampton Rangers Football Club who secured 5th place in the South West Regional Football League, so they will meet again in 25/26.

Gloucester City AFC Women's Reserves Team just won the Gloucestershire County Division 2 League (Tier 8), earning promotion to Gloucestershire County Division 1 (Tier 7). However, the team was invited to move up to the Regen Arable South West Regional Division 1 North League (Tier 6).
